Most business events follow a familiar format: large networking sessions, cocktail hours and ‘spontaneous’ mingling. But here's the reality…
——
these formats primarily cater to extroverts, leaving a significant portion of attendees feeling uneasy, drained or disconnected.
C2 Montréal is revolutionising this approach by designing spaces and experiences that allow for all types of individuals, both introverts and extroverts, to be able to express themselves and contribute to the conversation.
Take our ‘Neurodiverse Lasagna Lab’:
This experiential brainstorming environment allows attendees to connect while cooking lasagna together. The genius is in giving people a shared task - you're focusing on doing something together making you far more comfortable to actually share and be open and connect with the people around you.
Let's say we want to talk about risk in business. We might suspend people 30 feet up in the air (seriously!).
If the topic is blind spots, we might have people in a pitch-black room or one that is filled with cloud-like installations.
These shared experiences break down barriers and create authentic connections - regardless of how you process social interactions.
The result? More diverse voices in the conversation, better ideas and stronger business relationships.

Companies don't do business together. People do business together.

When we develop our events, we don’t just want to create networking opportunities - we craft moments where genuine human connections can flourish.
The secret?
Embedding beauty and creativity into every touchpoint.
When you design inspiring environments, you spark natural conversations.
When you create spaces that feel special and meaningful, people naturally want to share their experience.
It's a shift from transactional to intentional connection-making.
Think about it: We're all more likely to engage, share and connect when we're part of something that moves us. That's where the real magic happens - where authentic relationships form and business naturally follows.
Meaningful business outcomes start with meaningful human experiences.

Never let a crisis go to waste.

To make sure we were giving people an event they wanted, we used to follow a sequential process of:
Strategic programming → Creative → Production
But one of our biggest learnings coming out of the pandemic was that we needed to figure out how to get both creative and production closer so we didn’t have to spend so much time and money in mood board mode.
So we started to evolve how we worked.
We conceptualised and produced an experience at the same time.
We broke down as many company silos as we could.
We communicated with each other more.
We trusted each other quicker.
We became more agile.
Now we are able to create more experiences while maximising their creative impact through timelines and budgets that make sense to the business.
The biggest lesson?
Sometimes it takes a crisis to show us there's a better way - a better way to produce experiences that turn meaningful connections into meaningful business.
